I’m glad you found the Clarksburg Post-Intelligencer blog.

It is my hope to be able to publish informative articles about the life and times of Clarksburg, a small but bustling town steeped in a rich history dating back to 1785. Clarksburg was named after General George Rogers Clark, the highest ranking military officer in the Northwestern Territory during the American Revolution. It is also the birthplace in 1824 of Thomas J “Stonewall” Jackson. During the Civil War, the town served as a supply depot of the Union Army from 1861 to 1865. General George B. McClellan also had his headquarters in Clarksburg in 1861 until the Battle of Bull Run. A town nestled in the hills of North Central West Virginia, Clarksburg is a town I fell in love with the first time I came here in 1989.

Clarksburg is certainly not the only thing I will be blogging about for sure. In addition to providing informative information about my new home town, I will also be blogging about current national, world and political events with a lot of emphasis on the world of technology, science, physics and mathematics, all subjects I love to talk about.

You’ll receive a temporary password in your email. Then, login from the link in the Admin Portal section, change your password to something you’ll remember and update your profile page. When you’re done doing that, click on Visit Site at the top of your profile page and you can access my site to leave comments to my blogs without the need to enter your name and email address everytime like regular visitors. I’ll still need to moderate your comments even if you are a subscriber because there are, unfortunately, those who visit sites just to “hit and run.” Moderation doesn’t mean I make any changes to your comment; just be sure your comments comply to the Terms and Conditions policy found on the Privacy Policy page. If your comment doesn’t meet the Terms and Conditions policy, I retain the right to refuse to post it. But, please be sure, I won’t refuse to post a comment just because I don’t agree with it.
